Croatia Airlines is the flag carrier and national airline of the Republic of Croatia. Established in 1989 as Zagal – Zagreb Airlines it was eventually re-branded as Croatia Airlines in 1990. Headquartered in the capital Zagreb, the airline is run by CEO Ivan Mišetić.
From its main base at Zagreb Airport, Croatia Airlines operates scheduled serviced to 27 domestic and European destinations. It is estimated that over one million passengers a year fly with Croatia Airlines to countries including Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Greece, Italy, Spain and Switzerland. UK passengers can fly from both London Heathrow and London Gatwick to 17 European countries in Croatia Airlines network.

Check-In
All Croatia Airlines passengers are advised to check-in at the airport at least 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. International passengers can check in two hours before take-off and domestic check-in opens 90 minutes before the flight.
Baggage
Croatia Airlines provides a hand baggage allowance of 8kg per passenger. Economy Class can check in 15kg and Business 20kg on domestic flights. A luggage limit of 20kg for Economy and 30kg in Business Class on international flights is permitted. Excess baggage fees apply.
Seating
The seat pitch on a Croatia Airlines flight is 30 inches for Economy passengers. Business travellers in upgraded seats can enjoy a spacious seat pitch of 34 inches.
Frequent Flyer Programme
Croatia Airlines offers the frequent flyer programme Miles & More. Members earn points on each flight and purchases from the in-flight magazine. Points can be redeemed against rewards such as upgrades, car hire and discounts on hotels.
Additional Information
Croatia Airlines has recently opened up a new European route. The airline now operates the first scheduled services between Zagreb and Athens.
