Jet2 is a low cost airline based at Leeds-Bradford Airport. The airline was established in 2003 with the Channel Express brand, which formerly operated from Bournemouth airport. Jet2 now has a fleet of over 30 aircraft carrying three million passengers every year. Cheap flights from Jet2 began operating from their second base at terminal one of Manchester airport in 2004. Jet2 flights cover destinations all over Europe, as well as destinations in Tunisia, Egypt and even cheap flights to New York.
The Jet2 brand is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dart Group PLC, which has been operating commercial aircraft for over 30 years (originally under the Channel Express brand). With nearly 40 routes from the Leeds-Bradford base alone, cheap flights from Jet2 are regularly operating on new routes from airports throughout the UK, including Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, East Midlands, Blackpool, Belfast and Newquay.
