Formally known as Britannia, Thomson Airways was established almost 50 years ago and is now the UK’s largest charter airline. Based at Luton Airport they have a fleet of 77 planes consisting of 737’s, 757’s, 767’s and Airbus 320 and 321. Thomson Airways will soon be the first airline in the UK to roll out the new, fuel-efficient Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Check-In
Passengers can check in between midday and 10pm. At London Gatwick, check-in is at North Terminal, Zone A, while at Manchester Airport check-in is at Terminal 2. Passengers should arrive at departure gates at least one hour before their flight departs.
Baggage
Thomson Airways information on baggage allowances permits one item of luggage weighing up to 20kg and a maximum 5kg for hand luggage. Premier and Premium passengers are allowed 23kg plus a maximum 7kg for hand luggage and baggage allowances can be pooled across a party.
Seating
On all long-haul cheap flights from Thomson Airways there are wider seats and a generous 33 inch seating pitch. Passengers flying Premium get to enjoy great extras like free drinks and movie entertainment.
