Turkish Airlines Flights Information

Turkish Airlines is the country’s national airline operating scheduled services to 126 international and 34 domestic cities in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. Headquartered in the Turkish Airlines General Management Building at Ataturk Airport in Yeşilköy, Istanbul, Turkish Airlines is run by aeronautical engineer Temil Kotil.

Transporting an estimated 25 million passengers per year, Turkish Airlines operate a reliable service for business travellers and holidaymakers. The airline’s main base is located at Atatürk International Airport with secondary hubs at Adnan Menderes Airport, Esenboğa International Airport and Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. From here Turkish Airlines fly to a total of 160 airports worldwide.

The airline has more than 12,000 employees and is a member of the Star Alliance allowing frequent flyers to benefit from a range of rewards through their loyalty programme.

Check-In
Passengers must check in one hour prior to the scheduled departure time of domestic flights and two hours for international flights. All Turkish Airlines passengers are advised to arrive at the gate 20 minutes before departure.

Baggage
Baggage restrictions vary between classes; Economy passengers can check in 20kg and bring one item of hand luggage weighing up to 8kg. Business Class passengers are permitted to check in up to 30kg and carry two items of hand luggage at 8kg each. First Class can check in up to 60kg of hold luggage.

Seating
Seat pitch on Turkish Airlines flights is 32 inches for Economy passengers and 54 inches for Business Class ticket holders. First Class travellers can enjoy a seat pitch of 90 inches with recliner options.
