Republic Unitary Enterprise National Aircompany, operating as Belavia Belarusian Airlines and known commonly as Belavia is a major airline and flag carrier of Belarus. Established in 1996, the airline offers a trusted network of flights across Asia and Europe. Headquartered in the capital city of Minsk, Belavia is owned by the government and run by Director General Anatoliy Nikolaevich Gusarov.
From its hub at Minsk International Airport, Belavia operates scheduled services, charter flights and VIP transportation. Using a fleet of Boeing, Bombardier and Tupolev aircraft, Belavia serves a total of 23 countries. Cheap flights from Belavia depart from London Gatwick and Manchester Airport in the United Kingdom. Other routes fly to cities in Russia, Poland, Germany, Armenia, Cyprus and Israel.
Belavia advises passengers to arrive at the airport at least two hours before the flight. Check-in closes 40 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Passengers must be ready to board 30 minutes before take-off.
Baggage restrictions vary by cabin class for Belavia flights. Economy passengers are permitted to check in up to 20kg of hold luggage. Business Class ticket holders can check in 30kg. All Belavia passengers can carry one item of hand luggage not exceeding 8kg in Economy and 12kg in Business Class.
