Flybe is a low-cost airline operating short haul flights throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland and continental Europe. Established in 1979 as Jersey European Airways (JEA), it is now run by CEO Jim French. Flybe headquarters are located at Exeter International airport in Devon within Jack Walker House a building named after the airline’s founder.
Flybe operates 198 routes between 32 European airports and 38 UK airports, transporting an estimated 8 million passengers per year. Southampton airport, Manchester airport, Birmingham airport and Belfast City airport are the main transport hubs providing routes from the United Kingdom to France, Spain, Croatia, Germany and Italy.

Check-in desks close 30 minutes prior to departure. For international flights the check-in closes one hour before the scheduled time of departure and 45 minutes before for Flybe Economy Plus passengers.
Economy passengers are permitted one item of hand luggage weighing a maximum of 10kg and a 20kg hold bag. Economy Plus passengers can take one cabin bag, a laptop and check in one hold bag weighing up to 40kg; the largest baggage allowance of any UK low cost airline.
Flybe operate a standard pitch of 31 inches across the aircraft with additional features such as complimentary snacks and drinks available to Economy Plus ticket holders.
