The national airline of Kuwait, Kuwait Airways, was established in the 1940’s and since 1962 has been wholly owned by the government of Kuwait. Kuwait Airways operates scheduled international services throughout the Middle East to the Indian subcontinent, Europe, South-East Asia and North America. Its head office and main hub is located on the grounds of Kuwait International Airport in Al Farwaniyah Governorate.
The current Kuwait Airways fleet is made up of 20 Airbus and Boeing aircraft. The airline employs over 6,000 employees and flies to major cities including, London, Paris, New York, Rome, Mumbai, Bangkok, Cairo, Chicago, Delhi, Damascus and Dubai. Cheap flights from Kuwait Airways depart from London Heathrow to Kuwait, New York, Cairo, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Bangkok and Delhi.
Check-In
Check-in desks open three and half hours before scheduled time of departure for most Kuwait Airways flights. Gates close 20 minutes before scheduled flight times.
Baggage
Two items of hand luggage are allowed per passenger – with size restricted to 23 x36 x56cm and a maximum weight of 7kg. The checked baggage limit for Economy or Tourist Class fares is 20kg and for Business Class fares 30kg.
Seating
The latest Kuwait Airways information on available seat pitch is 32 inches in Economy class cabin seats, while in Business Class the seat pitch is a spacious 45 inches.
Frequent Flyer Programme
The Oasis Club is Kuwait Airways frequent flyer scheme. Membership offers preferential treatment and passengers enjoy a generous mileage allowance. Membership classes are Oasis Blue, Oasis Silver and Oasis Gold.
