Transportes Aereos Meridionais, better knowna as TAM Airlines is a major carrier and the largest airline serving Brazil. Founded in 1976 it provides scheduled services across the continent and beyond. Headquartered in Sao Paulo, TAM Airlines is run by CEO Líbano Barroso.
TAM Airlines operates from three hubs; São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport, Rio de Janeiro-Galeão International Airport and Brasilia International Airport. The airline offers an extensive network of domestic and international flights. In total TAM Airlines provides scheduled services to 42 destinations within Brazil and almost 20 locations in South America, United States and Europe. Check-In
Passengers travelling with TAM Airlines are advised to arrive at the airport four hours before the flight. Check-in closes one hour before departure and passengers should be at the boarding gate 15 minutes prior to take-off.
Baggage
TAM Airlines luggage restrictions vary for each cabin class. Economy can check in up to 23kg, Business Class 33kg and First Class are permitted hold luggage weighing up to 43kg. The seat pitch onboard a TAM Airlines flight is 31-32 inches in Economy. Business Class travellers can enjoy 54 inches and First Class passengers can benefit from a spacious seat pitch of 70 inches.
