TAP Portugal established in 1946 is the national airline of Portugal. Headquartered in Building 25 on the grounds of Portela Airport in Lisbon, also its main hub, the airline is run by CEO Fernando Pinto.
TAP Portugal serves 69 destinations in 31 countries across Europe, Africa, North America and South America. With a fleet of 58 Airbus aircraft TAP Portugal operates over 1,600 flights per week and provides cheap flights to popular holiday destinations.
The airline has been a member of the Star Alliance since 2005 and promotes TAP Personalised Assistant a unique passenger service. Check-In
TAP Portugal passengers are advised to arrive one hour before departure for flights within Portugal. Intercontinental flights require check-in 90 minutes prior to departure. All passengers must be at their boarding gate 30 minutes before take-off.
Baggage
TAP Portugal information outlines baggage limitations per class. Economy passengers can check in up to 23kg of weight and carry one item of hand luggage at 6kg. Executive passengers can check in up to 32kg with two pieces of hand luggage weighing up to 10kg in total.
Seating
On standard regional flights the seat pitch is 33.2 inches throughout the aircraft. Business Class passengers can benefit from a seat pitch of 46 inches on international flights.

Additional Information
TAP Portugal has its own museum located at Lisbon Airport. Opened in 1985 it serves to honour the memory of national military and civil aviation. Take a tour of the exhibits which include 28 aircraft, flight logs, photographs and manuals. Visits can be arranged by prior appointment to view the museum’s Documentation and Archive Section.
