Yemenia Yemen Airways is the national airline of Yemen. Founded in 1961, the airline began its career providing domestic services. Headquartered in Sana'a, Yemenia Yemen Airways now operates a network across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. The airline is part owned by the Government of Yemen and the Government of Saudi Arabia and is run by Captain Abdulkalek Saleh Al-Kadi.
From its base at Sana'a International Airport and a secondary hub at Aden International Airport, Yemenia Yemen Airways flies to over 30 international and regional destinations. Suspension of flights to London means there is no direct route from the United Kingdom. Cheap flights with Yemenia Yemen Airways depart from Paris, Frankfurt and Rome in Europe. An expansion of the network is planned to include Guangzhou, Lagos, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Nairobi and Dar es Salaam. Yemenia Yemen Airways is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organisation.
