When To Go?
Johannesburg benefits from a dry and sunny climate all year round. From October to April heavy downpours are fast and frequent so remember waterproof clothing, although the heat makes short work of drying the land. In winter the temperatures drop during the night but the sun remains bright throughout the day. July and August are the most popular times to visit and provide the best weather.

How To Get There?
Johannesburg is served by OR Tambo International Airport (JNB) located 22km (14 miles) east of the city centre. At 1700 metres (5,500 feet) above sea level routes are affected by low altitude. This means many scheduled flights require a stop-off to refuel. Direct flights are available from the UK. Shuttle buses, private cars and taxis are available from the terminal building. Flying to Johannesburg from the UK takes 11 hours.
