How to get there
Alicante Airport is the sixth busiest airport in Spain, and the main airport for the Province of Alicante. It is also one of the biggest airports for charter flights in Spain, and Alicante Airport is located just 9 km southwest of the centre of Alicante. Ryanair established a base at the airport, and from March 2010 they will serve 59 routes to and from Alicante.

Must see
With its compact city center, Alicante is an easy city to get around on foot as most of the main attractions in Alicante are located within the historical quarter. From the cathedral, the labyrinth of narrow walkways in the Old Quarter of Alicante are just a few steps away, with the Church of Santa María, the Art Museum MUBAG and the town hall are side by side with the liveliest bars and terraces of el Barrio. Additional to sightseeing, a long wide sandy beach leads its way up from Alicante to San Juan.
