Although quieter in terms of tourism October- November can be chilly with average temperatures of around 10°C which plummet during the night. July and August are the hottest months of the year with temperatures soaring above 30°C and are considered the best times to visit.

How to Get There?
Carcassonne is served by Carcassonne Salvaza International Airport located 3km (2 miles) from the city centre. Direct flights are available from the UK with the budget airline Ryanair. Passengers can travel to the centre of Carcassonne by taxi. A stand is available outside the terminal building; alternatively you can book a cab from the desk inside the reception area. The flight from the UK to Carcassonne takes almost 2 hours.
