San Diego is served by San Diego International Airport (SAN), also known as Lindbergh International Airport located 4.8km (approximately 3 miles) from the downtown area. Domestic flights arrive here daily and passengers can fly direct from Dublin in the UK. Other European destinations require one and two stopover flights. San Diego International Airport is the busiest single-run airport in the United States and a popular commuter route for other cities in California.
