Baggage and Other Policies:

Carry-on Luggage Policy

• For Economy Class passengers, one carry-on baggage not exceeding 7 kg in weight can be carried
• For Business Class passengers, two pieces, each weighing no more than 7 kg is allowed

In addition to the carry-on luggage, passengers are free to carry an additional item, whose weight should not exceed 5 kg. Economy Class passengers are allowed to check-in up to two bags for free. The maximum weight of the bags should not exceed 23 kg each. Business Class passengers can carry up to two pieces of luggage weighing 32 kg each or three pieces weighing 23 kg each. Maximum weight of each bag should not exceed 32 kg.

Ethiopian Airlines flight booking for children between the ages 5-11 are to be made under the unaccompanied minor service. This service is optional for children between the ages of 12-17. Children from the ages of 5-11 will be charged child fare + one-way adult fare (if a company escort has been requested) and an additional $100 service fee (one-way) for international flights and child fare + one-way adult fare for a company escort + $7 service fee (one-way)for domestic flights. Adolescents aged 12-17 will be charged the standard adult fare and an additional $100 if special attention is required.

Ethiopian Airlines allows cats and dogs onboard. The pets should be carried inside a box within the dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20 cm and the weight of the pet, including its box, must not exceed 8 kg. Pets in boxes exceeding the prescribed dimensions will need to be checked in.

In-flight Amenities

Economy Class passengers enjoy a range of complimentary drinks including beers and white and red wines. The seats are narrower as compared to the Business Class, yet comfortable. Healthy and tasty meals inspired by Ethiopian cuisine are offered.
