Vietnam Airlines is the national flag carrier of Vietnam that began its journey in 1995. Its headquarters are situated in the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi. The logo of the airline is a golden stylized lotus. It is a homage to the culture and heritage of Vietnam. The airline’s fleet consists of Boeing 787, Airbus A350, Airbus A330, and Airbus A321.

The new baggage policy will come into effect in August, 2019 where the weight concept will be replaced by the piece concept. As per the changed policy -
The maximum dimensions of each carry-on piece must not exceed 56 x 36 x 23 cm and that of the personal item must not exceed 40 x 30 x 15 cm.
The maximum overall dimensions of each checked piece must not exceed 158 cm.
Vietnam Airlines offers mandatory Unaccompanied Minor Service and Accompanying Cabin Crew service to children between the ages of 2-5 traveling alone. For children between the ages of 6-11, the Accompanying Cabin Crew service is optional whereas for minors between the ages of 12-17, both the Unaccompanied Minor Service and the Accompanying Cabin Crew service are optional.
Vietnam Airlines flights allow dogs, birds and cats as checked baggage. The maximum weight of the pet and its kennel should not exceed 32 kg, failing which the pet will be transported by cargo. There can only be one animal per passenger, with the exception of birds.
Vietnam Airlines offers world-class in-flight entertainment. There is a varied selection of audio books, music and games. Soundproof headphones are available on board, and passengers can watch award-winning movies and TV shows.
A wide range of special meals to accommodate different diet restrictions are also available. There are vegetarian meals offered to Hindus, Jains, Eastern vegetarians, and there is also a Lacto – Ova meal option for vegetarians who consume dairy products and eggs. There is a vegan dining option as well. Children can have meals specially ordered beforehand, and there are meal options for those with dietary restrictions based on religious beliefs as well. The airline must be informed of medical restrictions well ahead of time so that suitable meals can be prepared.
Vietnam Airlines offers web check-in 40 hours to 2 hours before the scheduled departure. Passengers can choose their preferred seats and get their boarding passes printed in advance in order to avoid the wait at the airport.
