UPDATE [April 11, 12:30 p.m. EST]: These fares are gone.

If you have Australia on your bucket list, start packing your bags! United Airlines have dropped the cost of flights to Sydney and Melbourne by over 50 percent off the usual cost. These deals are available from Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Seattle for travel through November.

Remember that the weather Down Under is the opposite of the weather in the Northern Hemisphere, so they are currently experiencing fall through May, their winter is June to August (cool, but not really cold), and their spring is September to November.

Flights from Detroit to both cities, as well as some dates to Melbourne from Salt Lake City, Minneapolis & Atlanta to Melbourne will require 2-stops, while flights from the other cities are 1-stop. A minimum stay of 10-day is required.
