Cross South Africa off your bucket list. Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways have dropped the price of flights from Dallas to Johannesburg to just $654-$697 roundtrip, including tax. While airfares for this route have been discounted to the low- to mid-$700s a few times this year, this is the first time we’ve see it for under $700!
Travel is widely available Nov. 1 to 20 and Jan. 15 to March 30, including travel over Thanksgiving.
Note that flights on Qatar will have nine to 10 hour layovers in Doha, while flights on Etihad will have 14 hour layovers in Abu Dhabi.
Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways are 5-star airlines according to Skytrax, the highest rating available (same rating as Cathay Pacific Airways and Singapore Airlines).
