Southwest Airlines hasn’t had a good sale since June, but is making up for lost time with a system-wide sale starting from $49 each way ($98 roundtrip, including taxes). Not wanting to be left out, other airlines, such as Alaska, American, US Airways and Frontier, decided to join the party with their own sales (announced and unannounced) that either matched or undercut Southwest’s fares. Like with any sale, there are some good fares and some not so good fares. To save you the hassle of sifting through all the fares, the deal experts of Fly.com have pulled together a list of our favorite fares from this sale.

The Southwest sale ends Thursday (October 16) at 11:59 p.m. for the respective time zone of the originating city (and we’d expect the other airlines’ fares to expire at the same time), so don’t wait if you see a fare that peaks your interest!
