It ain’t over ’till mud season starts, as the saying goes. And clearly, mud season isn’t any where in sight as the Midwest and Northeast is bracing for yet another round with the polar vortex (who would have thought at the beginning of winter that the term “polar vortex” would become part of our daily vernacular?). We clearly jumped the gun last week in thinking that the worst of the frigid temps are over, or perhaps it’s just wishful thinking here at Fly.com.
Putting all that aside, lets talk about airfares! And not just any ordinary airfares, but low airfares to a myriad of destinations around the U.S. and Mexico and Costa Rica! This week’s highlight destinations are two of the most popular tourist destinations in the country for pretty different reasons: Las Vegas and New York City.
Las Vegas’ allure is (but not limited to) its casinos, the ability to (kind of) see the world in a day, live entertainment that ranges from the family kind to the adult-only kind, endless lines of buffet, and for the more industrious, a jumping off point for Rock Canyon, Valley of Fire, and even Grand Canyon, Death Valley and Joshua Tree.
And we have the Big Apple. There, you have Times Square and the wide assortment of Broadway and off-Broadway theater, numerous world class museums, endless options of fine dining, shopping for every budget, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere (by a technicality!), and more sports than you can shake a stick at.
If you rather visit a city that sleeps, we have low airfares to other destinations, both domestic and international. But in all honesty, if you’re on a vacation, do you really want to spend it sleeping?
