One of Las Vegas’ advantage of being located in the desert is the weather in winter and the dry heat (although personally, I doubt Las Vegas’ heat is anything but dry at this point with all the pools and landscaping, but I digress). That being said, if you’re looking for an exciting but cheap winter getaway, Las Vegas is the ideal option.
To start off, the deal experts at Fly.com have combed the web with a fine-tooth comb and have come up with cheap flights to get you there in fall and/or winter. The weather is ideal, as you won’t be baking in the sun like you would in the summer time. The average high in fall and winter falls between 57 and 67 degrees, with the average night time weather being about 20 degrees cooler. And then there’s the accommodations that range in categories from the budget-friendly to the budget-buster. The same goes for dining, where you have everything from Las Vegas’ staple of endless buffet to a 10-course dinner at a Michelin starred restaurant. And then there’s the entertainment that ranges from Broadway musicals to stand up comics to top musical headliners to adult-only style of entertainment. If you need a break from the city, Lake Mead National Recreation Area is about 35 miles southeast and offers a respite from all the lights and sounds of the city with 550 miles of shoreline. And least we forget, if you’re feeling lucky, I heard that Las Vegas has casinos.
However you may choose to spend your vacation, one thing is for sure: Las Vegas has you covered.
