Brussels Airlines is the largest airline in Belgium, headquartered at the Brussels Airport. The airline is a member of the Star Alliance and Lufthansa Group and runs a wide range of flights to and from Europe’s capital. Earlier, Brussels Airlines’ logo featured 13 dots which had to be subsequently changed to 14 dots following complaints from superstitious passengers. The airline has an all-Airbus fleet of 50 aircraft, of which Airbus A330-200 AND A330-300 operate on long-haul flights whereas European routes are mainly covered by A319 and A320.

Baggage and Other Policies:

• The size of checked baggage must not exceed 158 cm (including wheels, handles, and pockets) and the weight must not exceed 32 kg. Every passenger is allowed a maximum of five pieces of checked baggage.
• Hand baggage includes a carry-on of size 55 x 40 x 23 cm or a foldable garment bag of dimensions 57x54x15 cm and a small personal item of size 40 x 10 x 30 cm. The total weight of hand baggage (carry-on + personal item) should not exceed 12 kg.
• Excess baggage of up to 100 kg with applicable charges can be checked in without prior permission from the airlines. Excess baggage weighing over 100 kg can only be checked in with the airline’s consent at the time of booking.
• For Economy (1 Bag) passengers, hand luggage of 12 kg and checked luggage of 23 kg is allowed.
• For Economy Standard, Economy Flex, and Economy passengers, hand baggage of 12 kg and two checked pieces weighing 23 kg each are allowed.
• For Business Class, hand baggage of 16 kg and two checked pieces of 32 kg each are permitted.

Service animals, cats and dogs that weigh under 8 kg are accepted in the cabin in a leak and smell-proof bag. Pet strollers need to be included in the checked baggage and cannot be taken on-board as hand baggage.

Unaccompanied minors between the ages of 5 and 11 are accompanied by the airline staff throughout their journey, right from departure until they are safely received by their friends or family at arrival. Travelers between the ages of 12 and 18 will be considered unaccompanied minors if a special request is made by the parents/appointed guardian and if there are concerns regarding their safety.

In-flight Amenities

The Economy Class comes with ergonomic seats with an adjustable headrest. An in-flight entertainment system with massive touchscreens (8.9”) and a delectable menu comprising freshly cooked meals and complimentary drinks is also available.
