Hainan Airlines, headquartered in Haikou, People’s Republic of China, was founded in 1989. Its fleet primarily consists of Airbus A330-200, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A350, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-800, Boeing 787-8, and Boeing 787-9. The logo of Hainan Airlines consists of elements which symbolize the golden Garuda (a bird-like mythical creature), with its wings, horns, beak, all in red.

Each piece of baggage must not weigh more than 5 kg
• For flights departing the US, passengers are allowed to carry one bag and one personal item. The total dimensions of the bag must be within 45 inches, and the maximum weight within 10 kg
• On other international flights, two bags are allowed for First and Business Class passengers and one bag is allowed for the Economy class, with dimensions not exceeding 45 inches and weight not exceeding 10 kg per piece

• Business Class: 2 pieces with a maximum weight of 40 or 50 kg per piece, depending upon route

Hainan Airlines booking for unaccompanied minors can be made for children travelling alone between the ages of 5 and 12. The unaccompanied minor service is not available for disabled children under the age of 12 and for children who are travelling via connecting flights. Passengers must apply for the service when purchasing Hainan Airlines tickets and the child must carry valid identification and travel documents.

Pets must travel as checked baggage or in the cargo, they are not allowed in the cabin. A maximum of 2 pets per passenger are allowed. The total weight (pet + container) must not exceed 32 kg. Eligible pets are domesticated dogs and cats; aggressive breeds prone to hurt others or susceptible to respiratory problems are not permitted to travel.

• Business Class: Hainan Airlines Business Class passengers enjoy 180-degree lie flat seats, which also have USB ports and reading lights.
