Hong Kong Airlines was established in 2006, its main hub being the Hong Kong International Airport. The airline flies an all-Airbus fleet of 39 aircraft including Airbus A320-200, 330-200, A350, and A330-300. Its logo represents the bauhinia flower, often considered the symbol of the country itself. Below the flower, the name of the airline is inscribed in black in both English and Mandarin.

Children between the ages of 6 and under 12 travelling unaccompanied are required to apply for the Unaccompanied Minor Service 72 hours prior to flight departure. They will be taken care of by the airline staff who will help them complete airport formalities

For flights departing from Hong Kong, domestic dogs and cats are accepted as checked baggage only and not permitted in the cabin. Only service dogs are allowed on board. For flights arriving at Hong Kong, pets are only allowed in a designated cargo, neither as cabin nor as checked-in baggage. Hong Kong Airlines booking for pets must be confirmed at least 7 days prior to the flight departure.
