Norwegian Airlines, also called Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, is Norway’s largest airline and flag carrier. Based in Baerum, it was founded in 1993. Norwegian Airlines has one of the youngest and greenest fleets in the world. Their fleet of 170 aircraft includes Boeing 737-800s, Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Norwegian Airlines allows small cats or dogs to travel in the cabin on domestic flights within Argentina, Schengen, and EU (excluding UK and Ireland). The cost of carrying a pet in the cabin ranges between $56 - $75 when booked online, and $69 - $93 when booked at the airport. The pet + its kennel must not weigh more than 8 kg.
Children between 5 – 11 years traveling alone need to avail the unaccompanied minor service. The service is optional for kids between 12 – 15 years whereas those over 15 years will have to travel as an adult. The unaccompanied minor will be taken care of right from the time of departure to the time they are safely received at the destination.
Free Wi-Fi is available on most flights within Europe. The airline’s video-on-demand service offers a wide range of movies and TV series that passengers can watch on their own device. For those traveling via one of the long-haul flights, Norwegian offers a state-of-the-art entertainment system on which passengers can watch movies, TV shows, play games, and get to know their destination better via an Interactive 3D map.
