About Scoot Airlines

Launched in 2012, Scoot Airlines is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. Its main hub is the Singapore Changi Airport. A modern airline, it has a fleet of around 40 aircrafts comprising 16 Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 24 Airbus 320 group airplanes. The logo says “Scoot” written in bold font over a bright yellow circle, giving off a new-age and hip vibe. It describes itself as an airline for the young and the young-at-heart, for people who seek new connections and fresh experiences, which it terms as “Scootitude”.

Popular Routes

Scoot Airlines flights cover a number of popular Asian destinations such as Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Nanchang, Harbin, Kuantan, etc. Other destinations include Melbourne, Berlin, Singapore, Athens, Tokyo, Chennai, etc.

Baggage and Other Policies:

Cabin baggage:

• Each piece of luggage should be within a total linear dimension of 45 inches
• Economy: Two pieces of baggage (including a laptop or handbag) with a combined weight of 10 kg are allowed
• ScootPlus: Two pieces of baggage (including a laptop or handbag) with a combined weight of 15 kg are allowed

Checked baggage:

• The sum of dimensions should not exceed 62 inches for each piece of luggage
• FlyBag / FlyBagEat: One piece of luggage weighing not more than 20 kg is allowed
• ScootPlus: Two pieces of luggage weighing not more than 30 kg in total are allowed

Children travelling alone between the ages of 12 and 18 need to travel using the Unaccompanied Minor Service. A “Special Assistance and Handling for Unaccompanied Form” will have to be filled during booking, which must be presented during check-in

Pets are not allowed on your Scoot Airlines flight booking.

In-Flight Amenities

Wi-Fi is available free of cost on Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights, and if a passenger’s Wi-Fi session has data left, they can use it for the next flight. The airline offers the Scoot Café service for meals. Hot, light, and celebratory meals are available on a pre-order basis

• ScootPlus: Scoot Airlines Business Class seats in full leather are spacious with adjustable headrests and leg-rests
• Economy: Passengers can retire into ScootInSilence quiet cabin zones on Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights. Headrests are adjustable, and if a passenger purchases a Super Seat or a Stretch Seat, they can enjoy 30-50% extra legroom

Passengers can also make Scoot Airlines booking with the MaxYourSpace service that allows for purchasing the next two empty seats for extra comfort. If available, the request will be approved 6-12 hours before take-off.

Web Check-In:

Scoot Airlines check-in can be done online starting 72 hours up to 1 hour before the scheduled flight departure. Guests who require special medical assistance and guests travelling with babies cannot avail web check-in services.
