A trip to Acapulco will mostly be spent beside the glorious bay area. Water sports such as snorkelling, jet skiing and sailing are popular with many tourist to the region. A rather unique Acapulco attraction is La Quebrada Cliff Dives; a tradition since the 1930’s this event takes place in December and involves a 40 meter dive into a circle of fire to celebrate the Virgin of Guadalupe. For those travelling during the summer take a boat tour of the Coyuca and Tres Palos lagoons to visit the sea turtle sanctuary.
