Rain is infrequent but can appear suddenly, so if travelling to Biarritz during November and December be sure to pack warm clothing. August is the hottest month of the year with highs of 25°C. Surfing events in July make this a popular tourist season.

Biarritz is served by Biarritz - Anglet - Bayonne Airport (BIQ) located 5km (approximately 3 miles) from the city centre. Direct flights from the UK are available daily. Ryanair flights leave from London Stansted and Easyjet operate a seasonal flight from London Gatwick. Domestic destinations including Paris, Geneva and Nice can be reached by plane or rail. Passengers can take the shuttle bus into Biarritz or book a taxi from the desk inside the terminal.
