Spread indoors on 20 plus acres, sits Denver Botanic Gardens with more than a dozen horticulturally distinct varieties. This gorgeous garden is truly a sight for sore eyes. Denver also holds art exhibits, plant shows, gardening classes and much more. Check out ‘glass wizard Dale Chihuly Colorado’ in the pond at Ellipse Garden. The venue opens from 9 am till 5 pm from Monday to Sunday.
Located in the east of Downtown Denver, City Park is sprawled across 330 acres. This public park also houses the Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Stroll the majestic gardens and walk alongside two scenic lakes that horizon the city’s glorious skyline. Don’t miss the epic sunset from the western side of Ferril Lake. The park is open from 5 am to 11 pm from Monday to Sunday.
As already mentioned, Denver is the craft beer capital of the world! Operational since 1873, Coors is the single largest brewery site in the world. The brewery is located 15 miles west of Denver and is a great spot to take a self-guided tour. Figure out how beer is made and packaged along with some interesting historical tidbits about the brewery itself. If you are in Coors brewery, beer tasting is a must. Be sure to taste the sample beer in the tasting room. The venue is open for tours between 10 am and 4 pm from Thursday to Saturday, and from 12 pm to 4 pm on Sunday.
Union Station is nicknamed as Denver’s Living Room as it sits plumb in the middle of Lower Downtown. The station was constructed in 1881 and is designed in the gorgeous Beaux-Arts architectural style. You can find patio-filled restaurants, outdoor fountains, and boutique shops in this busy transit center. Tourists and locals frequent this spot for its grand architecture, farmer’s market, community events, etc. The station is open 24 x 7; however, the timings of the restaurant and shops vary.
