Headquartered in Guangzhou, China Southern Airlines was established in the year 1988. It operates mainly from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, boasting a fleet of 840 passenger and cargo aircrafts. The logo depicts the simple image of a gigantic tree, known as the kapok, in red over a blue background shaped like an airplane fin. The name of the airline features in a bold font beside the image.

Zone 2 flights journeys between Central & Western Asia (Note 2), Turkey and China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), routes originating from China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) to Russia, and routes originating from Singapore to China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan):

• First Class – 3 pieces of 32 kg each
• Business Class – 2 pieces of 32 kg each
• Premium Economy and Economy Class – 1 piece of 32 kg
• Infant taking no seat – 1 piece of 10 kg

Zone 1 flights i.e. international/regional journeys other than those listed above:

Dogs, cats, birds, and other pets raised in households can be transported as baggage. Service dogs are allowed free of charge on a China Southern Airlines ticket

Minors aged 5-12 can travel alone with prior application. The airline staff will take care of such unaccompanied minors from the time of flight departure until the time of safely handing them over to a guardian at the arrival airport.
