A premier Indian low-cost airlines, Indigo or InterGlobe Aviation Limited began operations in 2006. It has its headquarters in Gurgaon, Haryana. It came into existence as a private company by Rahul Bhatia of InterGlobe Enterprises and Rakesh Gangwal of Caelum Investments in 2005. By 2012, the airline became the largest Indian carrier in terms of passenger market share. Even by fleet size, it is the largest Indian airline today. Indigo Airlines’ ‘Flying Solo’ service is available for minors traveling alone between the ages of 5-12. For children between the ages of 13-18, this service is optional. All minors traveling alone are required to report two hours prior to domestic flight departure and four hours before the scheduled departure of all international flights.

Indigo Airlines does not offer any complimentary meals or drinks on its domestic flights but passengers are free to pre-book their meals at the time of making Indigo Airlines reservations.
