About Sky Airlines

Sky Airline is the second-largest airline in Chile, with its base in Comodoro Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, Chile. It was founded by Jurgen Paulmann and started its operations in December 2001, with its first flight route from Santiago to Northern Chile. Sky Airline has been a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) since 2005. In 2015 and 2016, it transitioned into operating as a low-cost carrier model to cut down on its costs. The airline’s logo features its name written in bold white and green font, with the ‘K’ in ‘Sky’ reversed, as in a mirror. Currently, it runs a fleet of 20 aircraft comprising Airbus A320s, Airbus A321s, and Boeing 737s.

Baggage and Other Policies:

The following are the baggage policies:

• The dimensions of carry-on should be within 25 cm x 35 cm x 55 cm and its weight should not exceed 20 kg (including handles, pockets, and wheels). A maximum of three packages per person are allowed onboard – a handbag or a delicate object, hand luggage, and a coat or jacket.
• Zero fare tickets require an additional cost for carry-on or checked luggage allowance which can be obtained for as low as $12 per piece.
• The maximum weight of the checked bags should not exceed 23 kg per piece with overall dimensions not exceeding 158 cm.
• Passengers with Plus fare Sky Airline reservations can carry one complimentary checked piece whereas passengers traveling with Full fare tickets are allowed up to two free checked pieces.

The only pets allowed on board are cats and dogs whose total weight including the soft-sided kennel must not exceed 6 kg. The dimensions of the soft-sided kennel must not exceed 24 x 18 x 37 cm. This service must be requested at least 48 hours prior to the flight departure. Service and emotional support dogs are allowed onboard free of cost provided they are fully trained and do not show signs of illness or aggression.

The airline provides Unaccompanied Minor Service to children between the ages of 5 to 14. Such minors will only be allowed on direct flights and not on connecting flights.

In-flight Amenities

• Passengers can purchase a variety of snacks such as pasta, rolls, and pretzels. Complimentary soft drinks are served on all routes of Sky Airline.
• Passengers who have opted for Plus fare tickets can choose ‘standard seats’ while Full fare tickets allow passengers to choose absolutely any seat they like with no additional costs.
• Passengers can enjoy more legroom and comfortable seats from the first to the ninth row.

Web Check-In:

Sky Airline allows its passengers to avail the online check-in service which opens 48 hours prior to flight departure and closes 60 minutes before the scheduled departure.
