      Cheap Flights to Blackpool

      Britain’s best-loved seaside city

Located on the coast of the Irish Sea, Blackpool is an English seaside city in Lancashire. Once the thriving holiday destination of northerners and now a major centre of tourism, Blackpool’s year-round amusements, traditional arcades and colourful shows have maintained its popularity to this day. Browse the stalls at the Bonny Street Market and pick up a souvenir of your trip. Climb the iconic Blackpool Tower for views over the town and walk across the glass panelled floor. Spend an afternoon in Mr T's Amusement Arcade and marvel over the models at Louis Tussaud’s Wax Works. Blackpool lights up at night; head to the Winter Gardens and take in a cabaret or burlesque performance at one of several onsite venues. Book a ticket for the Opera House, one of the largest theatres in Europe, or watch the annual Blackpool Dance festival at the Empress Ballroom. For a peaceful afternoon, visit Stanley Park and have a picnic on the garden lawn.

      Why Go?

Travel to Blackpool to experience a vibrant and kitsch British holiday. Take the tram along the seafront to see the sweeping coastline and the glittering lights of the amusements. Stroll out onto the pier and book tickets to see stand-up comedy or a cabaret performance at the stylish Winter Gardens.

      When To Go?
Blackpool, like the rest of the UK, enjoys a moderate climate. The wettest months are between September and November. March through to May is typically the driest period of the year with bright sunshine but cold nights. Visitors are advised to always prepare for changeable conditions with warm and waterproof clothing. The summer remains the most popular time to visit Blackpool with average temperatures averaging above 20°C.

      How To Get There?
Blackpool International Airport (BLK) serves the city and operates regular charter and scheduled flights. Aer Arann runs a daily service to Dublin with Manx2 operating flights to Belfast and the Isle of Man. Passengers can travel into Blackpool by bus, tram or train. A taxi can be booked from the terminal building.

      Must See
Blackpool is a place of nostalgia for many British tourists and visitors can enjoy arcade games and amusements from different eras. Enjoy a ride on the Ferris wheel at Central Pier and taste traditional rock and candy floss from the stalls. For thrill seekers, ride the Big Dipper, Steeplechase and Avalanche rollercoasters at the Pleasure Beach. Take in a variety show at the Spanish Hall, Arena or Olympia theatre and enjoy cocktails at one of several bars in the flamboyant gay district. No trip to the town would be complete without seeing the twinkling display of the Blackpool Illuminations.
